1209 Records Production Team
Stage Name: Datboisqueeze
Born: Atlanta, Georgia
Age: 31
My interest in music sparked at a young age.
My major influences were my aunt who taught me to play the drums as well as my stepmom who coached me on the piano.
Even as a child, I’ve had a passion for music but unsure of which directions to follow. By the age of 4, I was invited to
play with the church band.
While in school, my music teacher asked what I aspired to be.
My reply was “a DJ”.
At age 13, I started creating beats in my basement.
A friend and I would make beats on a KORG TRITON sequencer and record the finished product on cassette tapes. Since then, I’ve continued making music.
I’m a producer, writer and rapper.
I enjoy trap music, r&b, neo soul, old school r&b, pop and rock.
Everything excluding country music.
Top 6 songs:
“Say it again” -Isley brothers
“My life” -Mary j. Blige
“Benny and the jets” -Elton Jon
“Lots of cash” -Gucci rocko gotti
“Aux chord” -BIG K.R.I.T
“Lust” -Kendrick Lamar
Favorite quote: “EVOLUTION IS VITAL” -Me
I feel this quote is a description of me as well as my music.
If I weren’t open to new ideas or able to adapt to new sound, I wouldn’t be successful in the industry.
Without having music as an outlet, I don’t know what I would do. I get lost in it. At times, it’s a welcomed distraction to the pressures of my reality.
However, I am confident once I’ve reached my goals the want for “distractions” will subside.
I would describe my musical mind as eclectic with sounds of Zaytoven mixed with Pharrell.
A few of my musical influencers are Zaytoven, Pharrell, J dilla And Timberland.
Like those that inspire me, I too hope to make a name for myself in the industry.
My nigga, 30roc cracked the back door open for me.
I’m trying to kick that muhfucka off the hinges.
I strive to impact in a way so that my family can have the best life possible and the struggle is non existent for the people
that mean the most to me.
Birthdate: January 7, 1991
Born: Macon,GA
When I was the age of 3, My mom and I moved from my hometown to an apartment home in
Stone Mountain, Ga.
As a child, I spent a lot of time in the church.
I played around with the idea of being a drummer but never took it serious.
My favorite artist was Michael Jackson.
I would dress like him.
I’d wear the pants, penny loafers and white socks.
The “crunck” era is what really got me into music.
I started making beats in 2007.
My bro Aaron introduced me to Fl studio.
I would go to different networking events and started to get recognition and placements along
with the underground artist.
I grew a real passion for it and is something I’m good at.
I want to take part in some of the great music that’s out today.
It’s pretty cool to see all the young cats step in and regardless of what critics say, continue to do something that’s working for them.
As for the producers, I enjoy the differences in beats and projects.
I’m influenced by many different producers.
Mike Will built his brand by starting the Eardrummer production team, signing artists and paving the way for our generation of music.
There’s also producers such as Jermaine Dupri, Timbaland ans Pharrell that I look up as well.
I knew for sure I wanted to make music a career when I received my first paycheck for my work.
In 2014, after reading a tweet from Rae Sremmurd’s “Swae” that they needed beats, I then sent them and we
later kept communication through Twitter.
By grinding, networking and having a solid team of people behind me, I was able to break into the industry.
There were numerous people that played a part in my success. However, my bro 30Roc really gave me that push and was supportive from day one.
Although I haven’t released my own albums, I have been featured on albums such as Eearz to the streets vol 2 2016, Black Panther Album 2018, and Jay Rock album 2018.
I am signed to 1209 records and have been nominated for both the Billboard and Bet awards.
I’ve featured in magazines such as Activities and Service complex, fade and xxl.
In my free time I like to relax and spend time with my family.
I also enjoy basketball and video games. Through my musical platform, I strive to produce great music and change lives. My top favorite songs are currently, Kings Dead (which is my first big placement), Nasty by T-wayne/bandit gang Marco.
30 Roc was the producer and that really got people to paying attention.
Also Thriller and Eearz showin luv.
Although I am working towards producing beats for a number of artist, I feel if music is your plan A, you should always have a plan b.
My plan b is being a teacher and mentor to young kids.
The industry will continue to thrive if we have to let artist and producers be themselves.
I try not sound like everyone else and I make sounds that I like.
The music speaks for itself.
